In the unit housing of a compact cyclotron and positron emission CT (PET), positron emitting gas such as 15O, 11C, C15O2, C15O etc. is supplied from a cyclotron to a PET room through a transportation pipe with an appropriate shield to reduce positron annihilation radiation. Using lead or concrete shield blocks with various thicknesses, radiation leakage through the shield was measured by an ionization chamber type survey meter during continuous and constant supply of 15O gas of 1.85 GBq/min concentration which is the maximum dose for clinical use. The leakage radiation measured was 213.7, 56.0, 15.3, 5.0 muSv/week for lead shield with 1, 2, 3, and 4 cm thickness, respectively, and 193.3, 30.5 and 5.1 muSv/week for concrete shields with thickness of 10, 20, and 30 cm, respectively. The present study shows that to keep less than 300 muSv/week, which is the permissible dose rate of the boundary zone around the radiation controlled area by Japan Science and Technology Agency, it is required to use more than 8 mm thick lead shield or 7 cm thick concrete for continuous supply of 1.85 GBq/min 15O gas. 相似文献

In the micellar solution of SDS, the partition coefficient (Kx) of following branched alkanols at infinite dilution was determined by applying a differential conductivity method: the alkanols used were i-CmH2m+1OH (m=4-9, i=1-5) in which the position of OH group (i) shifts from an end to the center of a hydrocarbon chain. The method provides two significant quantities, d!/dXam and dCsf/dCaf in addition to Kx. The following results have been obtained. (1) The dependence of Kx on i indicates that the hydrophobicity of alkanol is weakened with increasing i, whereas the increase in m strengthens the hydrophobicity. (2) The degree of counterion disossiation of micelles (!) is accelerated by the solubilized alkanols in micelles (mole fraction: Xam) and the acceleration rate, d!/dXam (=0.17), depends on neither m nor i. (3) In the bulk water, the monomerically dissolved alkanols (concentration: Caf) depresses the concentration of free monomer surfactant (Csf), and the depressing rate, dCsf/dCaf, in micellar solution is identical with the corresponding quantity, ((CMC/(Ca)o at CMC. 相似文献

Contrary to the precedents, 1,3-anti stereoselection was found in the intramolecular Michael addition of ethyl ,5-carbamoyloxy-4-trialkylsilyloxy-2-hexenoate to culminate in a synthesis of N-benzoyl-,-daunosomine. The antiperiplanar effect due to the group at 4-position was revealed to play a major role in the stereoselection in this type of reactions. Summary Chelex resins in several metal forms were tested for selective uptake of o-nitrosonaphthols and o-nitrosophenols from aqueous solution. Cu-Chelex was the most efficient resin over a wide pH range, and the taken-up nitroso compounds were effectively eluted with concentrated ammonia: acetonitrile (4:1, v/v) after washing the resin with acetonitrile to eliminate non-specific binding. The upper and lower limits of uptake capacity of the resin for 1-nitroso-2-naphthol were 0.5 mol/100 mg and 1.25 mol/100 mg, respectively. A preliminary recovery experiment using urine and cucumber juice showed that Cu-Chelex would be useful for screening of o-nitroso derivatives of phenolic substances in complicated samples such as biological fluids and foods. 相似文献

this double alkoxide gave polymerized products, and as a result the viscosity of the solution increased, suggesting that linear
polymers were produced through the hydrolysis and polycondensation reaction. Homogeneous PbTiO3 gel fibers were drawn from the spinnable viscous solutions, which were wellcrystallized into perovskite type PbTiO3 at 650°C. l-Menthyl vinyl ether (l-MVE) was homopolymerized and copolymerized with the monomers indene (IN) and acenaphthylene (ANp) by BF3OEt2 as a catalyst. The chiral menthyl substituent was cloven from the homopolymers and copolymers using dry-hydrogen bromide gas. After the removal of optically active menthyl group, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) from l-MVE homopolymer was optically inactive, and copolymers (VA-IN, VA-ANp) from l-MVE-IN and l-MVE-ANp copolymers were still optically active. Hence, in the case of l-MVE homopolymer, it was concluded that asymmetric induction in the polymer main chain can only produce pseudoasymmetry. In the case of l-MVE-IN and l-MVE-ANp copolymers, it was found that asymmetric induction proceeded in the copolymer main chain and was caused by the influence of chiral menthyl group. 相似文献

The copolymerizations of l-menthyl vinyl ether (l-MVE) with the monomers vinylene carbonate (VCA) and indene (IN) were carried out in benzene with azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as an initiator to obtain optically active copolymers. The optically active l-menthyl residue from the copolymer main chain was removed using dry hydrogen bromide gas. After the ether cleavage reaction, the copolymers prepared (VA–VCA and VA–IN) were still optically active, and hence it was found that asymmetric induction had taken place in the copolymer main chain. A negative-ion-based neutral beam injector (N-NBI) has been constructed for JT-60U. The N-NBI is designed to inject 500 keV, 10 MW neutral beams using two ion sources, each producing a 500 keV, 22 A D− ion beam. In the preliminary experiment using one ion source, a D− ion beam of 13.5 A has been successfully accelerated with an energy of 400 keV (5.4 MW) for 0.12 s at an operating pressure of 0.22 Pa. This is the highest D− beam current and power in the world. Co-extracted electron current was effectively suppressed to the ratio of Ie/ID− < 1. The highest energy beam of 460 keV, 2.4 A, 0.44 s has also been obtained. To realize 1 MeV class NBI system for ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), demonstration of ampere class negative ion beam acceleration up to 1 MeV is an important mile stone. To achieve the mile stone, a prototype accelerator and a 1 MV, 1 A test facility called MeV Test Facility (MTF) were constructed. Up to now, an H− ion beam was accelerated up to the energy of 805 keV with an acceleration drain current of 150 mA for 1 s in a five stage electrostatic multi-aperture accelerator. 相似文献
